The Audubon Society runs community science programs year-round, including the Christmas Bird Count, the Great Backyard Bird Count, and local breeding bird atlases. No birding experience needed — beginner-friendly outings are always available.
What to expect
- Morning outings, typically 3–5 hours
- Grouped with an experienced birder who helps with identifications
- Binoculars helpful but not required (loaners sometimes available)
