About this task

What you'll do

Zooniverse hosts dozens of real research projects across biology, climate, astronomy, history, and medicine. Every project produces a public dataset researchers actually use. You pick whichever one looks interesting, classify on your own account, and your hours count toward your colift record.

  1. Open Zooniverse and either sign in or create a free account.
  2. Pick a project — anything that catches your eye. Whales, galaxies, weather diaries, rainforest sounds, whatever.
  3. Classify. Do as much or as little as you want in one session.
  4. When you're ready to log hours (typically end-of-month), generate your Volunteer Certificate from your Zooniverse profile.
  5. Come back to colift, upload the certificate, tell us which project you worked on, and a reviewer will credit the hours within a few days.

Why this counts

Every Zooniverse project is real public-interest research with a free public output — exactly the kind of work colift is built to recognize. We don't need to pre-approve which project you pick.

Hours credit

We credit the hours your Zooniverse certificate shows. No artificial cap.
